13. Photos from the set

ENG: Another day of shooting took place at the DOP's hall in Piaseczno on saturday the 25th of february. Despite the freezing cold weather outside and noises from a near by scrap salvage, we managed to shoot around 60 takes in just 8 hours (let me just tell you, that this is a lot). All thanks to the commitment and the professional aproach of the whole team.

PL: Kolejny, trzeci już dzień zdjęciowy miał miejsce w hali pod Piasecznem w sobotę 25-go lutego. Pomimo niesprzyjającej pogody za oknem, oraz hałasów z pobliskiego skupu złomu, udało się nakręcić około 60 ujęć w ciągu zaledwie 8 godzin (to było naprawdę zawrotne tempo). Wszystko to dzięki zaangażowaniu i profesjonalnemu podejściu całej ekipy.

09. Acting rehersals #2

ENG: On the weekend before christmass we had another acting rehersals combined with lightning and greenscreen tests. Despite a tight timeschedule we managed to go through almost more then half of all the takes needed for postproduction tests.

PL: W przedświąteczny weekend odbyły się kolejne próby aktorskie połączone z próbami oświetlenia i testami na greenscreenie. Pomimo bardzo napiętego harmonogramu udało się zrealizować ponad połowę wszystkich zdjęć potrzebnych do testów post-produkcyjnych

08. The Alien Costume

ENG: In building the alien costume, I started to redraw the original Alex Ross's sketches in order for it to be realistic in completion within a small budget. I ordered online a couple of really cheap old polish gas mask ('elephant' type) and started cutting the aliens face shape from a cardboard, which I had pleanty of. I also build a prototype of the chest vest (measured right on the actress) also from cardboard, moddeling foam and some carbonned tubes.I used paper-mâché to sculpt the aliens face, but it was the most time consuming task considering the amount of paper layers I had to put on. The rest of the costume - arms, legs, the back hood and tail - all were done by Agnieszka Krzemińska. Finally we painted the whole thing with green spray paint.

PL: Przy budowie kostiumu obcego zacząłem od interpretacji konceptu oryginalnych szkiców Alexa Ross'a, żeby całość była w miarę możliwa do zrealizowania. Następnie zamówiłem za grosze kilka polskich masek przeciwgazowych typu "słoń" i przystąpiłem do wycinania kształtu twarzy z kartonu, którego miałem pod dostatkiem. Również z kartonu, pianki modelarskiej oraz kilku karbowanych rurek, zbudowałem (na wymiar aktorki) prototypową kamizelkę, która miała imitować klatkę piersiowa obcego.Do rzeźbienia rysów twarzy posłużyłem się papier-mâché, co jednak było bardzo czasochłonne ze względu na ilość warstw jaką trzeba było nałożyć. Resztę kostiumu - ramiona, nogi, kaptur, nogi i ogon - wykonała Agnieszka Krzemińska.Na koniec całośc została pomalowana zielona farba w sprayu.
